FIFA 23: 10 Players Who Are Missing From The Game

FIFA 23 offers numerous players across its various modes, with top-rated athletes such as Lionel Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo, and Kylian Mbappe among the best available. However, some notable players from the real-world soccer scene are missing from EA Sports' latest release.

These players' absence is primarily due to their respective clubs not being featured in the game. As FIFA 23 does not include every single league, there are some significant omissions. Consequently, players who compete in these leagues cannot be utilized within the game. Moreover, EA Sports is set to lose its license to use the FIFA name, and the next version will be rebranded as EA Sports FC. With this new identity, it is hoped that the game will reintroduce the leagues that gamers have been missing. At the same time, in FIFA 24, FIFA 24 Coins may also be renamed as FC 24 Coins, but you can always buy FIFA Coins on MMOexp.com no matter what.

10. Luis Suarez

Luis Suarez, a controversial figure in the world of soccer, has both admirers and detractors. However, players of FIFA cannot enjoy using him in offline modes like Career Mode or Seasons, as his club, Gremio, is not included in the game.

The Brazilian league vanished from FIFA 15, and as a result of licensing and image rights issues, the days of 'Brasilver' teams are long gone. While some Brazilian clubs still feature in the game, they do not have real players in their squads, and Suarez's team, Gremio, is not even represented in this manner. However, gamers can use Luis Suarez in Ultimate Team by using his special club-less card, which is part of the World Cup Update.

9. Macaulay Langstaff

Macaulay Langstaff has had a remarkable season in real life, breaking records by scoring 41 goals in the National League, the fifth tier of English football. However, players who wish to sign him on Career Mode will be disappointed to learn that he is not included in the game.

The English leagues are unique in that they boast the highest quality, with FIFA 23 featuring the top four divisions. Despite numerous fan petitions, the fifth tier has yet to be included in the game. However, gamers were treated to the inclusion of Wrexham as a 'rest of the world' club, mainly due to their celebrity backing. Notably, Langstaff's club, Notts County, is performing well and may earn promotion to League Two, which could lead to Langstaff's inclusion in EA Sports FC.

8. Steven Nzonzi

Steven Nzonzi may be familiar to fans from his time in the English Premier League, where he played for Stoke City and was a valuable addition to starter squads. However, he has been absent from FIFA since leaving Roma in 2021 to sign with Qatari club Al-Rayyan.

Despite the Qatari league's growth and the country's upcoming hosting of the World Cup, the league remains absent from FIFA, and consequently, Nzonzi cannot be found in the game. At 34 years old, he could be an experienced addition to a Career Mode team, but gamers will have to look elsewhere to find him.

7. Endrick

Fans of Football Manager 23 will undoubtedly recognize the name Endrick, as he is one of the best "wonderkids" to sign in that game. However, FIFA 23 gamers hoping to replicate this experience will be disappointed.

Endrick currently plays for Palmeiras in Brazil, and while the club is included in FIFA 23, licensing issues prevent them from having real players in their squad. Fortunately, Endrick has agreed to transfer to Real Madrid in July 2024, so he will become a Galactico in a future edition of EA Sports FC, and gamers will be able to use him along with Vinicius Jr. and Rodrygo.

6. Arturo Vidal

Arturo Vidal, the Chilean midfielder who has played for some of the world's top clubs such as Bayern Munich, Juventus, and Barcelona, has left the top five leagues behind and joined Flamengo in Brazil.

While Flamengo is included in FIFA 23, Vidal is unfortunately missing from the game due to licensing issues with the Brazilian League. Instead, he is replaced with a faceless name, like many other players from the league. Vidal was a fantastic player to use in FIFA, as he was a great box-to-box midfielder who excelled both in attack and defense.

5. Marcelo

Marcelo has always been one of the best left backs to use in FIFA, with his superb dribbling and crossing abilities leaving opposing defenders in the dust.

After leaving Real Madrid in the summer, he initially signed for the Greek club Olympiacos, which is included in FIFA as part of the 'rest of the world' section. However, he has since moved back to his native Brazil and joined Fluminense. Unfortunately, just like Flamengo and Palmeiras, Fluminense is included in FIFA but without real player faces, so Marcelo has been removed from the game following his move.

4. André-Pierre Gignac

Fans have fond memories of André-Pierre Gignac, who was an absolute goal-scoring machine for Mexico's Tigres and seemed to get an inform card every week in FIFA Ultimate Team. However, with the latest edition of the game, the Mexican League, Liga MX, has been removed due to licensing issues, and Gignac and many other players from the league are missing.

It's a real shame, as it makes the game feel incomplete. However, hopefully, in EA Sports FC, more leagues will be available, and players like Gignac will not be left out.

3. Miguel Layún

Despite the absence of the Liga MX, the Mexican National Team is still included in FIFA 23, and players who play in Mexico can be accessed through their national team. However, fan-favorite attacking fullback Layun is missing from the game as he has retired from international duty at the age of 34.

Fortunately, players such as Jesus Gallardo, Henry Martin, and Uriel Antuna are still available through the Mexico team, so players who compete in Mexico are not entirely lost in the game.

2. Malcom

Due to Russia's invasion of Ukraine, all of its clubs and national teams were removed from FIFA 22, and this situation has persisted in FIFA 23. Consequently, all of its players, including former Barcelona winger Malcom, were also removed from the game.

Malcom currently plays for Zenit St. Petersburg, and even before the full removal of the Russian League, this club was missing from FIFA due to licensing issues. It is unfortunate that licensing continues to be a challenge for EA, as even major clubs in Italy, such as AS Roma, Atalanta, and Lazio, are not properly licensed in the game.

1. Quincy Promes

Quincy Promes, the Dutch winger who was known for his speed and goal-scoring ability, was a useful player on FIFA, particularly during his spells with Sevilla and Ajax. However, he now plays for Spartak Moscow in Russia, which is not included in FIFA 23 due to licensing issues.

Furthermore, Promes has not played for the Netherlands national team since 2021, so players cannot use him in that capacity either. It is essential for EA to reclaim the unlicensed teams and leagues for future editions of the game to make it the best soccer game on the market. Now, you can buy FUT 24 Coins on MMOexp.com
